At the end of the two day Technovation event, Team Code Gurus from Makerere University and Farm Corp from Gayaza high school won the National challenge from the university and secondary school categories respectively.
After the final pitches, the judges had to choose the best team among those who had made it to the finals. The audience also participated in final judgment by voting the best ideas.
In the university category, the team from Mbarara University of Science and technology with the clean Disposal App came as 1st Runners up and Team Code Gurus from Makerere University with the BVKit emerged the winners and they were all awarded.
In the Secondary schools’ category, Cool tech team from Mary hill High School with the Electronic Identity App emerged the 1st runners Up and Farm Corp from Gayaza High School were the Winners.
The participating teams were encouraged to continue with the great ideas so as to push them further as this wasn’t the end of the competition.
The winners from last year’s Technovation challenge were also recognized and awarded.
It was a colorful moment for everyone who invested their time and resources to come up with great work.
We hope to have more schools next year with stiff competition.
